Eastern Iowa Volleyball
2012 All Skills Camps

Individual training combined with team concepts will get you in shape for your next season! These skills camps are designed to focus on all aspects of the game with an emphasis on fundamentals. Skills will be reinforced through repetition and performed in competition. No matter what your current level is now, you will walk away from this camp more confident in your skills. Levels are Skills I (4th-7th graders) and Skills II (8th-12th graders) and are geared toward specific age and ability groups. In both, skill development is emphasized during hours of on-court instruction in the following areas: serving, serve receiving, forearm passing, setting, hitting, blocking, team serve reception, team defense, and transition to offense.

Skills I
Dates: June 25 through June 28
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
(4 days x 2 hours)
Who: Recommended for players
entering 4th-7th grades.
Cost: $130


 
Skills II
Dates: June 25 through June 28
Time: 3:15 – 5:15 p.m.
(4 days x 2 hours)
Who: Recommended for players
entering 8th-12th grade.
Cost: $130



Skills I: Designed to meet the needs of the beginner volleyball player with little or no organized team experience. Campers will be ability grouped according to experience and level of play. Every Skills I camp is divided into compatible smaller groups of like age and / or ability.
Skills I camps will train you in a variety of ways:

  1. Individually and in partners
  2. Station work for breakdown of individual techniques
  3. One on one for help in trouble areas
  4. Group drills, self directed and coach directed
  5. Team systems in 6 on 6 format
  6. Competitions

Skills II: Designed to meet the needs of the intermediate to advanced volleyball player with an understanding of the game and a basic in intermediate foundation of skill development.  Campers will be ability grouped according to experience and level of play. Every Skills II camp is divided into compatible smaller groups of like age and / or ability.  Skills II camps will train you in a variety of ways:

  1. Individually and in partners
  2. Station work for breakdown of individual techniques
  3. One on one for help in trouble areas
  4. Group drills, self directed and coach directed
  5. Team Systems in a 6 on 6 format
  6. Competitions
